Cross Country Competes at Region 6 Championships
COLBY, Kan. – FHNW Cross Country competed at the 2025 Region VI Cross Country Championships on Friday, with the team placing 9th with a score of 280 points.
"I believe our season concluded on a strong note," commented Coach Mendez. "Although we experienced a challenging start, our student-athletes remained committed, motivated, and consistent in their training. Their perseverance and dedication throughout the season were evident in their performance at regionals, where this team exceeded expectations. I am extremely proud of their growth and the way they represented our program."
Individual Results:
- Salisu Habibu placed 19th, with a time of 26:21.96
- Noah Mitchell placed 69th, with a time of 31:24.41
- LJ Willis placed 80th, with a time of 33:28.78
- Rhilin Turner placed 87th, with a time of 34:37.02
- Riley Weilert placed 89th, with a time of 40:59.17
With cross country coming to a close, many of the runners will now shift their focus as they prepare for the upcoming indoor track and field season.
