Tigers Place 3rd at Ted Castaneda Classic
Colorado Springs, CO – Fort Hays Tech Northwest Men's Cross Country placed 3rd (58 points) at the Ted Castaneda Classic on Saturday, with two runners in the top ten.
"My guys did well despite the high altitude," commented Head Coach Stephen Sambu. "Kabelo and Lucky did very well. I am excited to see how we will perform at Regionals."

Kabelo Maja led the way for the Tigers, placing 5th with a time of 25:38.00. Lucky Maila finished next in 7th with a time of 25:58.30.
Sibonokuhle Thwala finished 20th with a time of 26:52.20. Daniel Cornelissen finished next, placing 36th with a time of 27:32.71. Rounding out the scoring for Tech was Salisu Habibu, placing 45th with a time of 28:05.70.
Women's Results (5k)
Celestine Kiborus placed 44th with a time of 25:03.50.
Cross Country's next competition will be Friday, October 5th, at the Region 6 Cross Country Championships in Winfield, KS.
